What Does God Think of Us?

John MacArthur has a new book coming out that I think is going to be very helpful to many of us. It is called "Slave." You can get a free copy of the book and watch a great video about it by clicking here.

Our relationship to God is important because it defines who we are. Once we understand who we are in Christ we can get on with the work of fulfilling our destiny. The enemy who held us captive for so long is still at work to deceive us. He no longer is our master, but he tries to make us think and feel like he is. I believe this book is going to help many of us gain even greater freedom from sin and the lies of this evil age.

After hearing about this book offer, I read this text this morning...
Titus 3:4–7 But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, 5 he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, 6 whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7 so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life.

What a gracious and good God we have! He came for us. Jesus, our savior and friend entered into this sinful world and gave His life to pay the penalty for our sin. It was His love for us that caused Him to be merciful. Those who receive this wonderful gift of salvation through faith gain new life whereby we are made righteous and the Holy Spirit dwells in us giving us a new heart and a new mind.

Having been made holy by grace, we are given access to God as His adopted heirs.

Astounding!
